An Evening With Ron Culley

March 11 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Please come along and join us for the evening as we are welcome published Author and Playwright Ron Culley to our branch where he will speak to us about his life and his latest book ‘Who Shot Willie Macrae’.

Ron spent a career as a public servant for forty years – twenty-two of which he was Chief Executive of three key organisations in Glasgow including Scottish Enterprise and the West of Scotland Transport Authority. For forty years he was a member of the Labour Party, was selected by them to stand for Parliament in the first elections to Holyrood but resigned publicly after Iraq and joined the SNP after the Brexit vote. He is now fully committed to securing an Independent Scotland. He is a member of SNP Socialists and Pensioners for Independence. When he retired in 2000 he decided to become an author and has written a book each year since {all available on-line and from all good bookshops}. His book ‘Alba’ along with an earlier book about Irish politics after WW2 called ‘The Patriot Game’ are his two best sellers.

There will be an opportunity to purchase signed copies of Ron’s books on the night. These will be priced at £10 with £2 per sale going to branch funds.

This event is open to members, supporters and friends.
